"I spit that uptown-body-rock-rolley-hop, and will a nigga ever shut me down? prolly not. Cause ever since I was a young lad I crushed emcees, kickin' ass takin' names at the trolley stop."

So here's something new that I stumbled across today. Pandora is one of best places to discover new music. This is one of the artists they suggested to me since I liked Giant Panda. So now I'm suggesting that if you liked Giant Panda, give these guys a listen. Remember that feeling you got when you listened to GP or to Hieroglyphics the first time? That refreshing feeling? Yeah, that's what these guys bring to you. Their style is very refreshing; it's different, something new. They have that old school feel, as well as their own style. The trio consists of one emcee and two DJs from Georgia, but this is anything but your classic southern Hip Hop. The album concept is very interesting. The entire album is based off of a gas station/convenient store called The Standard. It's best listened to with the shuffle turned off. The beat catches the listener almost every time, but the emcee...he doesn't jump out at you, but don't get me wrong he is lyrically skilled. If your looking for something refreshing and relatively new (this came out in 2005) then this is for you!

Get It!
