Karma Loop and The Cool Kids T-shirt contest

Karma Loop and The Cool Kids are holding a T-Shirt design contest. The winner receives $5,000 bucks for anything their heart desires and $5,000 Karma Loop bucks to spend on fresh clothes. My boy Dustin d'Arnault submitted a fresh design which I would really like to see printed (click the pictures for a better view). Vote for my man if you're feeling this design.

"This design brings together many elements from the Cool Kids music. Elements such as Saturday morning cartoons, bowls of cereal, boom boxes and bikes are scattered through out the shirt. The image is designed to wrap around the torso."
-Dustin d'Arnault

Voting ends at the end of January, so hurry up and vote!

So fresh and so cleannn cleann

These kicks are the product of a collabo between Nike and Medicom (japanese toy company). Pretty sweet if you ask me. I'm lovin' the colorway and the little company logo. Blue and yellow on white, so fresh and so clean.

"Half man, half amazing"

I know this isn't Hip Hop, but it is some BA artwork. Dustin d'Arnault did a masterful job in creating, and telling this story of The Half-man.
"This comic tells the tale about a brave young boy and his quest to save his ill father. The Half-man is based on the African myth about a strange man eating creature that haunts the deepest parts of the jungle. The legend goes on to state that any man that crosses his path he challenges. Those that win his challenge reap great rewards, however those that fail pay with their lives."
You can get it for $13.60. Buy it here.

Get 'em while they're hot!

Check out this limited edition Cool Kids Tee. The Cool Kids and Famous collaborated can created this piece of artwork haha. There's only 100 made so get 'em before they're gone!

Astronaut kicks

Word is that De La Sol is collaborating with Nike once again to make a pair of Nike Dunk SB lows. They're said to be the same shoe that the trio themselves wore on the cover of their 2001 album AOI: Bionix (pictured above). Apparently they were supposed to be released back in 2006, but Nike scrapped the idea. They're set to be released next year. Look out 'em!

The Fall of Rome

I knew this would come one day. What's successful emcee without his own clothing line haha. Lupe the Fiasco is coming out with his own called "Fall of Rome". It's bound to be pretty expensive so brace yourself when you see the prices but for now here's what we know about the line so far...
Colorful rapper Lupe Fiasco is set to go all-black to launch a new fashion line. All items in the rapper’s upcoming Fall of Rome catalogue will be black - and that’s all the hitmaker will wear once the line hits the market later this year (08). He says, “When your game is to sell clothes and for people to believe in you your brand and to push your brand, you keep your game fare on.” And Fiasco, real name Wasalu Jaco, tells Complex magazine his new fashion line even has an historical origin: “The logo for it is this broken statue that was pushed down when Rome was invaded; it represents the decay of beauty. I give my clothing a story. I create a purpose for it.”

Looks like Santa has some surprises for us this year!

These hot kicks are set to release in the near future, the holidays of '08 to be more specific.

The newest addition to the collection...

Nike 6.0 Dunk Low Grey/neon Green/White colorways. Suede toe box with blue flocking print on both the panel of shoes and silver outsoles.

They go for about $74, not too bad I guess.
