"I spit that uptown-body-rock-rolley-hop, and will a nigga ever shut me down? prolly not. Cause ever since I was a young lad I crushed emcees, kickin' ass takin' names at the trolley stop."
So yesterday night I was lucky enough to attend Sneaker Pimps, up in north Miami. I had heard about this event a few weeks back, and I've been planning this for a long time, and finally the time came. The minute I heard that The Cool Kids were performing, I was as giddy as a little school girl. Anyway, we rolled up around 8ish after fighting with the parking machine for about 20 minutes. It was a cover charge of 20 bucks, which wasn't too bad. Obviously, the first thing you see when you walk in is all the sneakers on display on the walls, as well as a load of people carrying up to 5 pairs of shoes, trying to trade and sell them. I love sneakers, but I'm not into them enough to pay over 80 bucks for a pair of dunks, let alone over a grand for a pair of shoes that Kanye designed. Fuck that (pardon my language). Me and my group as well as a lot of other people were able to obtain some Cool Kids meet and greet passes, which I really didn't think we needed because people without passes were getting autographs and taking pictures with them just like we were...regardless I got a pic with Mikey, and I got both of their signatures. They're definitely some cool kids (no pun intended). After the meet and greet, Mikey and Chuck finally got on stage. Lemme tell you something, The Cool Kids know how to rock their set. I loved it. Peep the video to see what I'm talking about:
Anyway, to wrap it all up, I haven't felt this kinda vibe in a while (since RTB last year). There were so many people there that showed interest in what I love; the Hip Hop culture. Hip Hop heads, sneaker buffs, graff writers, B-boys, you name it they were there. This was definitely one of the best experiences I've ever had, right up there next to Rock The Bells, and I hope to have many more of these experiences in the future.

It's been a while since I actually posted up something like this...but anyway, this is the indie label that supports One Be Lo, and a few other artists whom I enjoy listening to. This was released a while back, specifically after Binary Star disbanded. It was intended as a showcase for the artists on the label, not a follow up to Water World, or Masters of the Universe. Not many copies were released so this is a really rare album. Check it out.

Just received this in my inbox. The last Kid Hum project I got was pretty dope. I'm expecting that or better from this one. For more info hit up Rock The Dub!
Joe Budden gives his opinion on this whole "best rapper ever" list by vibe magazine. I agree with him on the "I'm better than 50 of these people" opinion, but I'll have to disagree that hes better than Method Man...but hey this thing has everything to do with opinion. So in my opinion, Lupe should be somewhere in the top 5. Along with Jay-Z, and Nas.
A lot of these I agree with, but a lot of them I REALLY disagree with (such as LIL WAYNE, E-40 Fat Joe, BOW WOW???) Plus no LUPE??? This is a hip hop fail. Sigh.
I falsely anticipated this release (I thought it came out on the 5th), so imagine my reaction when I got home and found it released today. I'm not one for mixtapes, but let me tell you, this tape bangs hard. Don Cannon and The Cool Kids sure out did themselves on this one. Download it and pump it!
Off of El Che, dropping...eventually. This has got to be one of my favorite Rhymefest songs, and the video, directed by Konee Rok is one of the sickest that I've seen and just in time for Free Comic Book Day
You have no idea how much I love these kids. The coolest of cool are back at it again with some new stuff to pump in ya trunk. I'm really excited for this next mixtape! Check out these 2 new cuts. Gone Fishing drops on the 4th!
