Problems?
Just a little while ago I got an e-mail from a cat who's a regular to the site saying that he's confused about how to download Mp3's off divshare. If you have problems too, or are confused about how to download the divshare files, please let me know. If enough of you complain, I'll try to find a new hosting site which is easier to download. If you're wondering why I don't use zshare, it's because It doesn't work on my network for some unknown reason. But anyway, If you're having problems, drop me a comment, or send me an e-mail. Sorry for the inconvienice.

New Jack Hustle
"2 It" - New Jack Hustle (Shawn Jackson & Newman) from Shawn Jackson on Vimeo.
So apparently 1/3 of my favorite hip hop trio (Newman of Giant Panda(who I've been listening to a lot again lately)) has hooked up with Shawn Jackson to create a duo called New Jack Hustle. The track is hot, Newman is probably one of the most creative producers out there, and Shawn Jackson really flows to Newmans beat. The video...well lets just say its a bit colorful, haha. Tres Records stand up!
Autobots, roll out!

"B-boy for life so fuck the suit and a tie"

If you were to ask me, I would tell you that these cats are the embodiment of hip hop; every rappers dream. Lyrically, they have never spit a wack bar. Every track they put out is chock full of lyrics that flow and rhyme impeccably. Along with their godly ability for writing, they also have talent in making beats, especially Thes One, who has perfected the art of beat making. Their beats are self synthesized, and consist of heavy snare, ear popping bass, reminiscent samples, and the occasional scratching.
Honestly it's pretty hard to sit here and try to analyze their music, even if I am a huge fan. I'm genuinely at a loss for words for this duo...all I can say is listen to their music and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Yowza, September is apparently hip hop month. Here's another leak that I think you'll like. I'm downloading it as we speak, and I'm expecting it to be really good. Thanks to Heaps for this!
*So I just started listening to it, and this album is pretty baller! Murs really out did himself. The album ranges from soulful love songs, to fly hard swagger style songs. I recommend this if you're looking for something fresh.

By now you should already know that People Under The Stairs are one of my favorites. This is another classic Hip Hop album by the legendary L.A. duo. Released in 2000, this was their second full length album, and in my opinion is better than The Next Step (their first album) but not quite as good as OST. I've had this album for a long time, but I never really listened to it until now. This time around they come with the same chillness, but a slightly different feel than OST. There are a couple tracks that stand out more than others such as Youth Explosion, Earth Travelers (my favorite track), Suite For Creeper, Code Check, Blowin Wax, E Business, and July 3rd. If you're a big fan of PUTS like I am and you dont have this album, take advantage of this and download it. Amazing album.

A mixtape with serious Naledge

[Click second image for track list]
To start off the day, I think I'll post this little surprise Naledge of Kidz in The Hall just dropped for us.
Naledge explains:
"Welcome To Brainiac Society is a compilation or collection of music that I like, and that I might have made or contributed to. There's no real rhyme or reason to it. I think a lot of people got confused when I started repping Brainiac Society as my crew or my label cause I think a lot of people took it as a separation from Kidz In The Hall, which is not what it is. It's just me giving a platform to people that I like, and I want it to be looked at moreso as a Native Tongues type of thing than as a Bad Boy type of thing. It's just a group of people that make dope music and appreciate the artistry of Hip Hop and doesn't have to necessarily mean they are rappers. They can sing, they can make beats, DJ, whatever. It's about the creative renaissance that's going on within Hip Hop all over the nation. These are people that I met in my travels who I feel are dope and they inspire me. We just get together and we collectively make art...It's also a platform for me to put out Fooch who is my artist. It's no departure from Kidz In The Hall. Me and Double O are such creative beings in general, that we don't know how to operate without 30 things going on at once. We're very much multi-taskers and we've always been that way. We try to have our hands in everything."
With that said...

Back in the day...
I don't know about you guys but sometimes I get a little reminiscent of the 90's. When I was a younger I used to watch some baller cartoons after school, such as, Mighty Max, Bonkers, Goof Troop, TMNT (even up until 2003), Darkwing Duck, Tale spin, Street Sharks, Extreme Dinosaurs, X-Men, Spiderman, Gargoyles, and my favorite of them all...SWAT KATZ. Later on I got into that anime tip, and started watching Toonami and DBZ religiously. They used to have some good cartoon's on TV back in the day...I really have no idea what happened.

Apani B. Fly Emcee is one of the few female emcees out there, and quite elusive I might add. I'm lucky to have come across this while surfing the web for new music. I don't know if I would call it rapping, what she spits is more like poetry. Her rhymes kick like crazy. I've been feelin' her lyrics since I first heard her on Nujabes' Modal Soul LP. She also caught my attention with that track she did with MF DOOM aka Viktor Vaugn Let Me Watch. Anyway she's an amazing lyrical artist, and her beats arent too bad either. Dont sleep on this!
