Well this is Crown City Rockers, before the Crown City, they still rocked as Mission. This was when Moe Pope was still apart of the group. Let me tell you Raashan and Moe really compliment eachother. Very good download, this ones a classic. Hip Hop meets jazz...yumm, a treat for the ears. Plus a bonus disk with remixes and whatnot.

From the first listen, i knew this album was going to be am instant classic. Moe Pope has some real lyrical game so don't underestimate him. Well ever since my brother introduced me to this gem of hip hop, I've been hooked. Ive marked the best songs on the album (best songs in my opinion). They're a really good mix of hip hop and jazz. Each song is recorded live, kinda like The Roots. The group consists of Raashan Ahmad (emcee), Kat010 (keys), Max Mcveety (Drums), Woodstock (beat machine), and Headnodic (Bass). These guys used to be known as Mission before their other emcee (Moe Pope: you'll see a few posts from him on here soon) left the group. Artofficial is very new, this is their debut album, but I mean, man this is some of the jazziest stuff I heard, and along with that their lyrics are bangin. These cats can really rhyme. These guys are also a live band such as, The Roots, and Crown City Rockers/Mission. Look out for Big City Bright Lights, Rewind, Remember the Days, Eyes of a Stranger, Too Nasty, Word Bending, and Sound Check On Saturn (live instrumental). Don't sleep on this.

Well this is actually a 2 disc set, but the other disc isnt really worth the download, this disc is the main thing. This is a compilation CD of all the artists that call tres records their home such as Giant Panda, People Under the Stairs, Thes One (of PUTS), Light Headed, Crown City Rockers and more. This CD is really good look out for Plus Bonus Party Cut (my favorite on the CD), TKO Mega Mix, Noonen, Doin it, and GP Y'all.
Alright kidds, we're going to get into some true Hip Hop right now. Surreal is a Florida based emcee. He is a true wordsmith, his rhymes are crystal clear, and very poetic. His flow melds perfectly with the production from The Sound Providers. Their style is very pretty similar to that of People Under The Stairs, Light Headed, Othello, and Crown City Rockers/Mission; very jazzy and chill. Most of Surreal's rhymes tell a story of hardships, and everyday life. I can't believe that I forgot about these guys, this is definitely one for the Best Of section, but anyway I'm going to cut this one short so you can get to listening.

Wow. I'm so very glad I stumbled across this when logging on today. Courtesy of MS, this album is simply amazing. I grew up on jazz, so I'm naturally in love with this album. The band consists of everyone from Crown City Rockers (Headnodic, Kat O1O, and Max MacVeety), minus Raashan Ahmad and Woodstock. It's an instrumental album, except for for one track (Wonder) that features Raashan, which he kills. Perfect for late night vibing, and jamming none the less. Check it out.

PUTS is one of my all time favorite duos, and has to be one of the most classic duos that underground hip hop has kept concealed from deserving ears. PUTS consists of 2 emcees Double K and Thes One (who also produces). You may know Thes One, hes worked with many groups such as Giant Panda and Crown City Rockers, and has also pursued a solo career. Anyway, PUTS is filled with rhythmic rhymes that help sooth the worried mind. Seriously these guys are the appitomy of chill. If you like chill beats and banging lyrics, get on these guys right now. This is just one of their many amazing albums, and to be honest, one of my favorites. I highly recommend this album, its a classic and is going in the best of hip hop section right away. Look out for The L.A. Song, Keepin it Live, Acid Raindrops and Montego Slay.
